My father was not around much when I was a kid, so it was mainly my grandmother and mother who raised me. My grandmother was the father figure for me and she was very active when I was a kid. She would always play games with me with a big emphasis on hockey. I hope to be father to my son the same way my grandmother was a father figure to me.

I think I just read my new favorite book of all time. It’s a horror tale that doesn’t seem like a horror tale until the very end of the book. The book was called, “School Days,” and seemed like a garden variety story about the trials and tribulations of school age love.
The main character starts off as a guy who is infatuated with a girl from the same school who happens to take the same subway home with him. His classmate decides to help him with his love even though she likes him as well. The two start dating, but he finds that he is much more comfortable and at ease with his classmate. He eventually hooks up and sleeps with his classmate and it turns out that all he ever wants to do is hook up. He becomes a total playboy and finds himself hooking up with every girl that offers. I admit, at this point I was seriously not feeling this book. Literally, just put the book down and started watching satellite TV from http://www.direct.tv/ instead. After going through all my DVR shows, I decided to at least see how the story finishes out.
Turns out, it was just getting good. His classmate turns out to be pregnant and the announcement makes every girl at school wary of being seen around him. He turns to his original object of love and finds she has gone loopy without him. They try to get the classmate to have an abortion and things turn to horror and the ending is just plain creepy!
